Microsoft is warning Windows users about an unpatched critical flaw in the Windows Print Spooler service. The vulnerability, dubbed PrintNightmare, was uncovered earlier this week after security researchers accidentally published a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit. Microsoft have not yet released a fix in the form of an update/patch – however disabling the print spooler service on domain controllers is a mitigation and should be actioned as soon as possible.
FIT clients will be contacted soon regarding remediation steps and updates.
